What a cute little joint whipping up some delicious donuts and savory treats. The place opens real early and closes too soon, leaving me with a short window to indulge in their goodness. That said, I prioritize visiting them at least once over the weekend and picking up some fresh coffee, donuts and chicken saltainas.
Call them in advance for the chicken saltainas as they are made to order. It takes usually 20 minutes but it's become a household staple for us.
The donuts are amazing too and for the location, I'm always surprised how affordable this place is! -

We went here to try the empanadas. Unfortunately, they are frozen and you must order about 30 minutes ahead. So, not having that long to wait, and not being able to return during our trip, we didn't get those. To try something, we figured you can't go wrong with one of the fresh doughnut selections. There were very few, so we settled on tasting a glazed doughnut... always a pretty good test of a doughnut shop. The guy at the counter seemed offended that we only chose one doughnut, calling out loudly in disdain and to no one in particular "a single glazed doughnut" as he handed it to us in a paper square...
The doughnut was a disappointment. It was large, but has lost any warmth it may have had if it had been made that day. The texture came across as a bit chewy and on the stale side.
We were invited to order empanadas ahead next time. Unfortunately there won't be a next time.
The "2-star" is for the unknown potential of the empanadas... if for the doughnut, I'd rate with just one. -

AMAZING!
The best EMPANADA in the whole world. It like having a beef/chicken/vegetable stew wrapped in a dough with oozing juice and a hint of Curry and spice ...
And the DONUTS - Its fluffylicious ..
Pair it with freshly brewed coffee ..

They have the the best saltenas that I have every tasted! My husband loves them too.
I brought them into my employers one day so they could taste the saltenas. They asked where I brought them from so that they could buy them for their families. Yes... the saltenas are delicious !!!!!!
The donuts are very good. They are flaky and flavorful!
Try Nuri's Donuts and Saltenas. You will not be sorry. :) -
